Three-time Formula 1 race winner Giancarlo Fisichella will appear at SiGMA World in Rome on 03 November, with a programme featuring a visit to the Italy Pavilion, a Ferrari racing car display and sporting activities.
Fisichella is scheduled to attend the summit at Fiera Roma, where he will meet delegates and take part in several activities across the exhibition.
Later in the afternoon, Fisichella will visit the Italy Pavilion in Hall 5, where attendees will have opportunities to meet him and take photographs near a Ferrari 296 GT Championship car. The programme will also include a padel session and a go-kart track experience.
For SiGMA delegates, the appearance brings a former Ferrari F1 driver into the event’s conference and exhibition programme, with opportunities to see him and meet him during activities around the venue.
From Formula 1 victories to Ferrari endurance racing
Fisichella raced in Formula 1 from 1996 to 2009, recording three Grand Prix victories and four pole positions. His wins came at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2003, the Australian Grand Prix in 2005 and the Malaysian Grand Prix in 2006.
He joined Ferrari for the final five races of the 2009 season after finishing second at the Belgian Grand Prix with Force India. The move marked a notable point in a career that had already included spells with Jordan, Benetton and Renault.
His racing career continued beyond Formula 1. Driving for AF Corse, Fisichella won the GTE Pro class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012 and 2014. He later continued competing in GT racing, including campaigns with Ferrari machinery in the Asian and European racing scenes.
The Ferrari connection will also feature in Rome. A Ferrari 296 GT Championship car will be present near the Italy Pavilion in Hall 5, where delegates will have the opportunity to take photographs with Fisichella. The event programme also includes a signing of the FI Opus book by Eman and Giancarlo Fisichella.
Sports, brand visibility and the exhibition experience
Sports personalities have become a visible part of SiGMA’s event programme, giving exhibitors opportunities to bring their partnerships into the venue itself. For gaming businesses, a well-known athlete can attract visitors to a stand, create content opportunities, and offer a more direct way to engage with an audience than conventional advertising alone.
The recent appearance of footballer Marco Materazzi, announced as a Blokotech ambassador for SiGMA World in Rome, is another example of sport featuring in the summit’s exhibition activities. Materazzi’s programme includes a meet-and-greet, autograph signing and participation in the Bloko Padel Tour. Fisichella’s visit follows a different format, combining a car display and sporting activities.
The two appearances illustrate how sporting figures can be incorporated into the event experience, although Fisichella’s visit should not be presented as a brand endorsement without confirmation of a formal partnership.
For delegates, the activities also offer an opportunity to see how exhibitors and event organisers use live appearances to highlight their presence at the summit. Alongside meetings and conference sessions, these activities form part of the wider experience on the exhibition floor.
Padel session followed by a go-kart experience
Fisichella is scheduled to take part in a padel session on 03 November, the afternoon will continue with a go-kart track experience. The session will include a driving experience, merchandise signing and photo opportunities.
Together with the activities around the Italy Pavilion, the programme offers several opportunities for delegates to see Fisichella during the summit. Attendees planning to meet him should consult the official agenda for the latest information on the event.
SiGMA World returns to Rome
SiGMA World will take place at Fiera Roma from 02 to 05 November 2026, bringing together gaming, technology, financial markets and affiliate marketing under one roof.
The event is expected to attract more than 30,000 delegates and feature 1,200 sponsors and exhibitors, as well as five conference stages and a programme of networking activities. Attendees will be able to meet operators, suppliers, affiliates and investors while exploring developments across the industries represented at the summit.
Fisichella is scheduled to appear on 03 November. Delegates planning to attend his activities should check the official agenda for any updates to the timings.
